Session 2 examines the nature of the church.  The church is more than a building or even a club.  It is a spiritual institution characterized by scripture as the body of Christ and community of believers.  As a spiritual organism, it requires spiritual leaders rather than just organizational leaders. Spiritual leadership is grounded in character, striving to lead the church in prayer, instruction, and care, equipping the church for life and ministry.
